AthElite Basketball Academy is pleased to announce that Didar Grewal(Tamanawis Secondary) has signed with Kwantlen University. Didar has played for AthElite the last 2 years on the U16 & U17 Elite teams and had tremendous success with us, he was also coached by Coach Aman Heran at Tamanawis Secondary.  We are extremely proud of Didar and wish him all the best in his college career.

The 2009-2010 High School Season is off to a great start for Athelite's and their high school teams. The number of Athelites enjoying success and piling up team and individual awards this year is nothing short of amazing. Take a look at some of their accomplishments already:

We cannot forget about Sukhjot Bains who starred for Athelite U14 even though he was still in Grade 7. Playing for the Burnsview Grade 8 team this year, Sukhjot is dropping 32 points per game including a monster 41 points in league vs Delview in 1 half of play. Watch for Sukhjot this summer, you dont want to miss this act!

A special congratulations to the Number 2 Provincially-Ranked Tamanawis Wildcats Junior Team for their dominating performance on route to capturing the RCMP Classic Junior Boys Tournament Championship. This star-studded roster featured NINE Athelite Players including: 

Congratulations to Shivi Varia for being awarded the Most Inspirational Player Award. 

The AthElite Mens team are the North American Asian Champions. Team AthElite competed in the NAAC in Las Vegas on Sept 12-13th and walked away as Champions. AthElite was represented by AthElite Coaches; Andy Kaila (U14 Team), Par Sunner (U15 Team), Dubs Dosanjh (U16 Team), and Aman Heran (U17 Team) as well as many other College/CIS players. Coach Aman Heran was named MVP of the tournament and was extremely proud of the entire AthElite team winning this prestigious tournament.

The AthElite mens and senior boys teams both won 1st place at the Unity McNair tournament held on Oct 24-25th. The senior boys team competed in the high school division and repeated as champions once again this year beating Palmer in the championship game in convincing fashion. Didar Grewal (Tamanawis Secondary) and Gagan Sahota (Tamanawis Secondary) were both named 1st Team All-Stars and Noor Mann (Fleetwood Park Secondary) was name tournament MVP.

The AthElite mens team captured the championship in the mens division beating rivals TBA/Dream Team in the final in a very hard fought battle. Dalbir(Dubs) Dosanjh, Par Sunner and Aman Heran were all named 1st Team All-Stars for the tournament. Congratulations to both teams for winning the championships and job well done by all players who represented AthElite Basketball Academy over the weekend.
