The Athelite Basketball Academy is dedicated to the development of today’s generation of basketball players into elite athletes and upstanding citizens. The Athelite Basketball Academy, through its team of award winning coaches and role models, partners with athletes, parents, and the community to push each individual beyond their personal boundaries, to encourage individual development to the maximum potential, and to realize the goals of outstanding athletes and extraordinary individuals while providing an unforgettable team experience.

- AMAN HERAN |

Aman Heran is the co-founder and one of the Head Coaches of Athelite Basketball Academy. Aman played 2 years at the University of Calgary where he was a co-captain and an integral part of the University of Calgary's Canada West Title and CIS national semi-final appearance in 2003-2004 season. Aman also played 3 years of collegiate basketball in the United States. After graduating from North Delta Senior Secondary in 1997, he went on to play two years at De Anza College in San Jose, California. In his freshman season, Aman was named to the Second Team All Coast Conference, averaging 18.7 pts/game. Aman then went on to play one season at Eastern Oregon University before moving back to Canada. Aman was born in India and moved to Canada when he was five years of age, he is recognized as one of the best players in BC and has had tremendous success in his basketball career which he plans to pass on to the younger generation. He brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and energy to the table and he hopes to impact the youth in the lower mainland as a mentor/coach whether it is through basketball or education.

- SURINDER GREWAL |

Surinder is the co-founder and one of the Head Coaches of Athelite Basketball Academy. He played three years at the University of Calgary where he graduated with a Degree in Economics and a Diploma in Accounting in 2005. In the 2004- 2005 Surinder finished the season 9th in the nation in scoring at 19.3 points per game while shooting over 50% percent from the field. He was awarded a Canada West 1st team all star and all Canadian nomination. In the 2003-2004 season Surinder played an integral part in the University of Calgary’s Canada West Title and CIS Nationals semifinal appearance. In the 2002-2003 season he finished 1st in the nation in 3 point field goal percentage @55.1%. Surinder also played two years at Kwantlen Polytechnic University earning a BCCAA Provincial 1st Team All Star award in the 2001-2002 campaign. He finished 3rd in the province in scoring both seasons @ 20+ points per game and was Most Valuable Player for Kwantlen both years as well.
Surinder brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table and he hopes to impact the growing youth in the lower mainland in a positive way whether it is through basketball or education.

Rob has excelled in number of sports including rugby,football, and lacrosse throughout high school. In college, Rob continued with rugby and athletics until injuries forced him to take time off from competitive sports. Today, Rob competes in adventure races that combine a multiple of physical challenges designed to test human strength and endurance.Rob has cycled in 24 hour relays, pedaling his modified cross-country bike through Whistler Mountain during the day and into the night in the 24 Hours of Adrenaline Cycling Pro-Am at Whistler Blackcomb Mountain. He also completed the epic two day Sea to Summit Race that starts in Squamish and finishes in Whistler. The race entailed 160 kms of kayaking, cycling, running, and hiking testing the strength and conditioning of all the athletes.
Rob is also the founder of the Newton Knights Recreation Program and volunteers to coach a number of local basketball teams in the community. Rob has coached the North Ridge Stars for three years, the Tamanawis Wildcats for two years and the Surrey Regional team for two years as well.
The 2006 Surrey Regional Team won the Provincial Jamboree while the 2007 Tamanawis Wildcats went an impressive 33-3 on the way to winning the Surrey City Championships.

- BRENDEN GRAHAM |

| Brenden has been a standout basketball player since he took on the sport in Grade Eight. Brenden received numerous awards throughout his high school career which was topped off by a selection to the Surrey All-Star Team as a senior. Brenden continued his successful basketball career at Kwantlen Polytechnic University where he became a key contributor to the team for the past three seasons. In addition to his elite basketball IQ, Brenden’s play is defined by his strong work ethic and excellent mental focus. Brenden is passionate about helping youth reach their potential as human beings and as basketball players. Brenden is in his second season of coaching with Athelite Basketball Academy as he coached the inaugural Athelites U13 team last year. |

- PARDEEP SUNNER |

Pardeep is a two-sport athlete as he has excelled both in hockey and in basketball. Pardeep has played both sports at high levels as he was the top scorer in his Pee Wee AAA Hockey Provincials and then a top athlete at the BC summer games as a basketball player. In his senior high school years, Pardeep was ranked in the top 15 for basketball players in western Canada. Pardeep has also received the Mcdonalds Scholarship which is awarded to the top 30 basketball players in BC. Pardeep has played for UNBC and Douglas men's basketball teams where he enjoyed numerous successes. Pardeep has coached for AthElite Basketball for the last 2 years in various camps and Elite Club teams; a passionate athlete, Pardeep excels at the game of basketball and enjoys coaching athletes of all ages.

Dalbir began playing organized basketball in Grade Eight at LA Matheson Secondary where his combination of size, skill and basketball IQ quickly had him the talk of Surrey coaches.. During his first year of high school basketball, Dalbir led the LA Matheson team to the Fraser Valley playoffs and on the way there he set the Individual Scoring record for a single game at the Surrey playoffs scoring an unbelievable 61 pts. In Grade Nine, Dalbir moved up to not only play but also start on the Senior Boys team at LA Matheson.In Grade 10, Dalbir moved to Enver Creek where again he started an Enver Creek squad that was ranked in the top 5 in BC all year; this remarkable squad eventually lost in the provincials to the two time Provincial Champions but left their mark as an elite squad. In Grade 11, Dalbir led the powerhouse Enver Creek team to wins at the HSBC Classic Tournament and the prestigious Legal Beagle tournament while capturing the MVP honours at the RCMP classic. In Grade 12, Dalbir became just the 3rd player in Surrey's history to win back to back MVP awards at the RCMP Tournament joining fellow Athelite coach Surinder Grewal as one of the few to accomplish this feat. Dalbir also broke the Individual Scoring Record at the tournament netting 56 pts in a single game. Dubs continued the season by leading the EC to the Provincial Tournament again where they placed 9th while he averaged 24points 13rebounds and 9assists per game. After graduating from high school, Dalbir accepted an athletic scholarship to the University of Calgary where he played for the Dino's for two seasons. Dalbir has had the opportunity to play throughout Canada and against NCAA schools including BYU, Southern Mississippi, Montana, TCU and many others. Dalbir is excited and proud to be a coach with Athelite Basketball for a second season while looking forward to giving back to his community and forging young athletes into role models and rising stars .
